| Chanting
in an ancient language like Sanskrit or Hebrew allows
us to experience the vibration and intonation which purifies our
minds and hearts in order to align them with the soul.
The
mind is a busy beaver, and can link to things that sabotage and
pervert the senses, which from the Ayurvedic perspective is the
root cause of disease. The mind, when still, can offer us the ability
to purify or nourish our senses, which brings balance and health
to the body. What our senses perceive will affect our actions and
ultimately our body, and what our experience of life will be based
upon.
It
is through vibration that pure consciousness becomes
a thought or matter and vice versa, that matter or thought can become
conscious. When we chant, we create the atmosphere to transform
our thinking mind into pure awareness or oneness of all that is,
which is the Yogic perspective of health. The critical, judgmental,
anxious, depressed or analytical mind rests, and pure consciousness
takes it’s place. We are filled by it’s beauty, compassion
and love. This is the place where deep healing can occur as we touch
something that cannot even be explained, only experienced.
Chanting
unfolds us, melds our hearts and builds a foundation based on truth,
pure, unfiltered
awareness to allow us to move forward in life with grace and ease.
